I am UKCP registered Family and Systemic Psychotherapist. I joined NHS in 2007 and since then I worked in various mental health settings, gaining an extensive experience and knowledge in working with individuals, families and couples, who are struggling with wide variety of psychological difficulties.
I believe that each day we "dance", sometimes we "dance" alone, other times we "dance" together with our partners, family members, co-workers and even strangers in the street. Psychological difficulties, adverse life events or changes can disturb this "dance" causing significant deterioration in overall wellbeing.
"Learn to dance again" - alone, with your partner or in your family.
I am an integrative therapist, offering:
Individual Therapy using ideas from the Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and Systemic and Family Psychotherapy.
Trauma - Focused Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, which is a first line treatment, as suggested by the National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) for people who have PTSD or symptoms of PTSD post experiencing a trauma.
Family and Couples Therapy using ideas from the Systemic and Family Therapy schools. I am particularly interested in Attachment Narrative Therapy (ANT) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) approaches which both stress the importance of strong attachment and bonding in any relationship.
Family Therapy Treatment for Eating Disorders (FT-AN, FT-BN), where family is seen as a resource in the recovery from an eating disorder or difficulties.
The Maudsley Model of Anorexia Nervosa Treatment for Adult (MANTRA), which aims to address the cognitive, emotional, relational and biological factors which can maintain anorexia, by supporting individuals with finding alternative and healthy coping mechanisms.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT-T) - CBT-T is a ten session therapy for adults and adolescents with non-underweight eating disorders (including bulimia nervosa, atypical anorexia nervosa, binge-eating disorder, and others).
I can certainly work with you to help you find your rhythm again.
I look forward to meeting you.

“I’ve come to meet Rasa after visiting her website and she inspired me confidence. I was right to choose her to help me. Since starting therapy, I’ve come to understand some of the key roots to my struggles, and look forward to continuing to understand the whys and hows of my adult challenges.”
"Rasa is kind, compassionate and straight talking. As a family, we felt held by her as we all moved forwards together.
We found Rasa to be very competent, skilled and knowledgeable. She is not afraid to make immediate changes and doesn't shy away from challenging the eating disorder with practical planned steps.
We didn't know whether online therapy would work and were initially sceptical, however it has felt quite natural and we have found no downsides to it.
She gave us a plan when we were all feeling lost and desperate and amazingly even brought some humour to us in some very dark times. We are so thankful that we found her."
"Working with Rasa has been incredible for us. Our previous therapists felt quite judgmental and therefore didn't gain mu daughters full trust nor respect. Feeling accepted understood and working with the therapist, not being forced or told what to do, is key. And we have now found this in Rasa. We are finally seeing slow but steady non linear progress... thank you. "
“ Rasa curated a safe space for my family to open up and re connect through her openness, empathy and by asking the right questions at the right time. Rasa encouraged us to express freely and challenge our beliefs in order to see through the eyes on another keeping our pace in mind at all times. I feel really grateful for what she has done for our family and me as an individual, highly recommend Rasa as a therapist, mediator and listening ear.”
“Thank you helping me and my daughters navigate through our difficulties and getting us to a point of acceptance and acknowledging how we have all been affected by the past but also to try to not let it engulf us going forward. From a parent point of view you enabled me to explore and understand how they felt as children but then now as adults…….
I am grateful for your delicate questioning and thought provoking delivery.
You have helped us without doubt .
Thank you”
“Rasa thank you so much for helping me and my family find a way to communicate what was such a difficult subject for us to ever broach. We are in a much better place than we were some months ago because of your help. I know that from now on we will be able to continue talking and sharing compassion for each other to keep building our base. Thank you ”
